Bench Joiner

We’re looking for a skilled Bench Joiner to join our small but busy workshop, specialising in architectural joinery and bespoke fitted furniture.

Key requirements:

  • Ability to work independently from drawings as well as part of a team

  • Experience using both fixed and portable woodworking machinery

  • Reliable and self-motivated with good attention to detail

  • Must have own transport due to rural location

Details:

  • Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm (preferred, but negotiable)

  • Full-time or part-time positions available

  • Self-employed basis (CIS scheme)

  • Pay rate dependent on experience


PA / Admin Assistant

We’re also seeking a Part-Time PA / Admin Assistant  to support our small, local bespoke joinery company. This role involves general office administration and assisting the director with day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Communicating with customers via phone and email

  • Scheduling jobs and arranging meetings

  • General bookkeeping and invoicing (QuickBooks and Excel experience beneficial)

  • Ordering materials and managing records

  • Providing general administrative support

Details:

  • Self-employed position

  • Ideally able to travel to our rural location for initial training (hybrid working possible thereafter)

  • Experience in the construction industry advantageous

  • Approximately a few hours each morning (flexible around other commitments)
